焦虑是外语学习者容易产生的情感障碍。这种障碍的影响在听力活动中尤为显著。从云南大学非英语专业研究生问卷调查所得到的数据分析发现,听力焦虑在学生中普遍存在,并与外语课堂焦虑显著相关。在以外语水平和性别作为变量的分析中得出,听力焦虑与成绩呈负相关,而性别差异对焦虑值没有影响。学生对听力材料不熟悉,学生听力策略不足及教师听力课堂作用不突出被认为是听力焦虑产生的主要来源。为了有效控制和降低听力焦虑,外语教师应该合理选择听力材料,注重听力策略训练,充分发挥教师在听力课堂中的作用。
Abstract:Anxiety is an emotional obstacle that foreign language learners frequently experience.Its impact is very obvious during the process of listening activities.Based on a questionnaire survey of the non-English-major postgraduates at Yunnan University,the data shows that listening anxiety is quite prevalent and it is related to foreign language classroom anxiety.Taking their proficiency levels of foreign language and genders as the variables,the analysis shows that there is a negative correlation between proficiency levels and listening anxiety,and genders have no influence on the degree of listening anxiety.Furthermore,the survey shows that the unfamiliarity of listening materials,the deficiency of listening strategies and the insufficient role of teachers are considered to be the main causes of listening anxiety.In order to control and alleviate listening anxiety,foreign language teachers are proposed to select suitable listening materials,attach importance to the training of listening strategies and take all the advantages of teachers' role in classroom teaching of foreign language.
